UNDERSTANDING CANINE BODY LANGUAGE SEMINARS If you have ever wanted to know how to speak ‘dog’, this seminar is designed especially for you. Understanding how dogs communicate will allow you to strengthen your relationship with your dog, allow you to identify and avoid potential skirmishes at the dog park, and give you tools to help your dog feel more comfortable in stressful situations. This seminar will review and discuss video of dogs exhibiting distance increasing signals, distance decreasing signals, cutoff signals, and signs of canine stress and anxiety.
RESCUING AND REHABILITATING UNSOCIALIZED OR FEARFUL DOGS This seminar is targeted towards shelter or dog rescue volunteers that work with dogs rescued from commercial breeding facilities, or dogs that haven’t received adequate socialization. You will lreceive detailed steps regarding handling and training from the first day you bring the dog home, and receive instruction on techniques and products that will reduce the dog’s natural fear and help you to build a trusting relationship.
Additional seminars are offered periodically at Kim’s Canines, located in St. Charles county at 1714 Scherer Parkway, near I-70/94.
The cost to attend any seminar is $10. Contact Tracy at 314-566-9038 or tracymbuck@hotmail.com to sign up for an upcoming seminar, or to request to be put on a waiting list to be notified when the next seminar is scheduled. Seminar dates will be posted here when they are scheduled.
I have also given seminars at several meetings for various dog fancy clubs, including a dog park group, the Humane Society of Missouri, and the Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier Club. If you would like to schedule an educational presentation for your club, please contact me at least 4 weeks in advance.
